Our guide, Rhonda, was fabulous: very informative and fun. This walking tour was the right amount of food sampling stops and it gave us a nice experience of local restaurants and cuisine. There was also a few interesting visits to locations of interest. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour.

Not a great food tour

This was definitely not worth the money. Does Charleston not have any really cool and unique places to visit? Loved touring the area, but the food choices were so-so. Our tour in Savannah was cheaper and so much better!

Food was okay. It was fun going from place to place. I was expecting more of a tour of the area. We heard some stories and insights about Charleston, but very few.

This was a great food walking tour! The food was fabulous and just the right amount - not too much and not too little! Our guide, Rhonda, did such a good job of giving us food info, great history of Charleston, and also recommendations along the way. We had a great time!

Took this tour with Stuart yesterday and was extremely disappointed after reading other great reviews. Although he was a nice young man, he spent very little time talking about the Charleston cuisine. Instead, he talked about himself, his experiences working in different restaurants and the places he had lived. Not once, did he ask about any of us or where we were visiting from. There was a lot of “dead time” when we were waiting for food to be served that he wasted (looking at his phone). Frankly, he didn’t seem to be very knowledgeable about the history of food in Charleston; there was so much more that he could have talked about. The food was pretty good (better in some locations than others) but certainly overpriced for what we got. Extremely disappointed in this tour and would NOT recommend to other visitors!

Stewart and the history he shared. We particularly liked the Oyster Bar. Q also was delicious. I’ve said enough.

We were a bit disappointed with this tour. The food was fairly good (we liked the. BBQ the best). Our guide was personable but did not do a good job in sharing the history of Charleston’s food. We did learn a bit about some town history, but our guide spent a lot of time talking about himself. He did tell us that he had only been on the job for a month. Maybe he needs better training?

Rhonda did a great job entertaining us with the history of various sites in Charleston and explaining all the delectable treats we got to eat. The restaurants and food choices were all great, the group of 12 was a perfect size, and the wait staff at all places were great. I would highly recommend this tour. Come hungry!!!

The food was great! The guide was a little awkward, it was his first tour, but he needs to brush up on including the entire group when talking, introducing himself and what to expect during the tour, and learning more about relaying history and culture of the area. I’m sure he will improve, but it was my probable only food tour, so….

The tour was phenomenal. Oliver was a great tour guide and we appreciated all the knowledge and details provided about the city and recommendations. We appreciated him speaking Spanish as well as it made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

Not happy with unplanned menu

We didn’t sign up for a history tour. The restaurants were picked on who was willing to take us. The focus wasn’t the food but was a history walking tour. For $110 dollars it is a rip off. For the tour guide to order 2 meals and then ask us to self serve with 8 strangers was unacceptable. I believe the meal part was about $25 per customer. The meal included one slider and one wing. Then two hush puppies and a condiment size container of soup and one shrimp with two teaspoons of grits. The last was share two plates of shepherds pie and one plate of potato nachos all with a glass of water at every place. The dessert was free samples of one benne wafer and a a tiny chunk of a praline cookie. At the end he took us to a place for a “dessert “ as a thank you from the company. They were closed. A refund would be the only thing to make this right.
