What To Expect

Your sailing adventure to Islas Mujeres from Cancun starts with your hotel pickup. Your exact pickup time will be advised when your booking is re-confirmed.

Once you make it to your catamaran, board the boat, and get ready for a relaxing day. Your boat offers an open bar, so feel free to grab drinks any time during your cruise. Take in beautiful views as you sail the crystal-clear waters of Cancun’s Caribbean coastline. Grab gear, and stop for a bit to snorkel. While in the water, it’s very likely you will see colorful tropical fish.

When you’re done snorkeling, enjoy a gourmet lunch on your catamaran before visiting Islas Mujeres. Here you can choose to have a guided tour of the island’s must-see spots, or you can choose to explore on your own. From beaches to shops, there are so many places to explore.

Once your time on Islas Mujeres is up, jump back onto your catamaran for the trip back to port and get dropped back off at your hotel.

Isla Mujeres Boat Ride

My experience with this excursion was good but there were some hiccups that i would like to address. Overall, I want to say that the boat ride was awesome. All the men on the boat was courteous and really attentive. Oliver our tour guide was exceptional! He was very knowledgeable and the sweetest man. I told him in the beginning of the ride that I had a dietary restriction, I could not eat pork. Once my food came out, he rushed to me and told me what not to eat. There were many people on that boat and I wasn’t really expecting him to remember. Everything was great but I would like this company to let the receptionist of the hotel know where they will be picking us up from. There needs to be a good streamline of communication. Viator advised us to be in the lobby but our receptionist of the hotel told us to be in the front gate. Viator did not call my personal phone to advise that they would be here and they actually ended up leaving us at first. Thankfully they were able to reschedule us but the lack of communication was not fun. Also, would love some music on the boat next time!

Great time with tour guide Miguel & team! He spoke three languages!!! The trip was totally worth it - I loved the snorkeling and swimming in the waters before docking at Isla Mujeres. Was at the island for 3 hours and loved visiting Secret Beach, it was beautiful. The excursion was a major highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

Disappointing

The docks were packed with people. Chaotic at Isla Mujeres. Snorkeling was sub par in that there was not much to see and the group was crowded. Swimming was just sitting on a float in the water. Too much time given for free time on Isla Mujeres; it made the trip feel more like a ferry to the island than a day sailing and snorkeling. Plus, we were always under power, even when the wind was decent. I did not think it was worth it.

The boat is old, nothing luxurious about, the restrooms are horrible Snorkeling took 15 min, the ride about 30 min, they left us on the island for 3 h 45 min with no plans what to do there

This was a fantastic experience! I did a similar tour in Cancun a few years back that I booked through my hotel and this is substantially better! The staff was amazing, the boat was beautiful and the excursions were an absolute blast! The food provided on board was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised that there was a photographer on board so we got amazing photos of our group on the boat and in the water. Definitely recommend!

Carlos and the crew were phenomenal. First off, CARLOS! He was soooo fun, attentive to everyone, and spoke THREE languages. Every single person on the catamaran was happy and had clear instructions at each stop. The crew ALWAYS came around for drinks. They also made us an amazing lunch before we got to Isla Mujeres. It was top notch the best excursion we booked while in Cancun. I cannot speak for other boats but if you have Carlos you will 100% have the best day.

Despite being on the list of participants for the driver to pick up at the hotel, they wouldn’t let us on the bus. As a result, we missed the whole day. We even called the main number, customer service, and they would not send the driver back to get us. Even when he was just minutes away.

Snorkling&Isla Mujeres - everything was pretty good& I feel a good value. They are def on a schedule, but it was a good way to fill a day Vs another day at the pool

Great guide and activity arrangement. There is relax time and water activity time. Gave you enough time to tour around the Isla Mujeres by yourself - and it’s a beautiful island. Crew are very friendly and informative. The photographer took great pictures underwater (if you dare to dive in) - pleasant surprise.

Snorkeling was great. Crew was very attentive. Stop at island was okay. Should have been shorter though. 3 hrs is way too long. There is nothing to do unless you are interested in being bothered by locals trying to get you to buy stuff.

Experience was great! Snorkeling was fun! A person does need to be a good swimmer but seen some colorful fish, statues and coral. We had a good lunch and drinks on board. Walked around the island and got some souvenirs. Staff was great!!

Very accommodating and attentive crew. The host was extremely courteous and informative of the area we snorkeled in. The photographer was extremely kind and made for a fun and memorable experience. These guys knew how to keep the party going while maintaining a safe and structured environment. Will definitely go again and recommend to anyone in search of a fun day excursion.

We forgot pick up information sent earlier on jan 10th for excursion planned for 2/25. We missed the bus on the day of the excursion. I called for help to customer service number provided, the Rep was very inappropriate and tone was insensitive. At least a curtesy call from the pickup team would have helped. In Jamaica (Same cruise boot), if the customer is not available at the time of pickup, the room is called at least once, I witnessed this. I didn't get Monet back and no service. SAD

A Fun Must-Do While in Cancun

Snorkeling was great! The current and waves were rough on the day we went, so we wouldn’t recommend that if you aren’t a strong swimmer. Alex and the staff were very pleasant & attentive serving drinks throughout the trip. At Isla Mujeres, the locals will hound you to purchase souvenirs and other items, so beware. Overall this was a really fun experience and we would definitely recommend it.

Cancun adventures did such an incredible job with me and my family. Totally recommend them. The trip is worth it but recommend going in the morning as the island gets crowded in the afternoon our Guide Marlene was extraordinarily friendly and useful.
