What To Expect

Make your way to Lou Malnati's to meet your tour guide and group. Set off to taste some of Chicago's most famous foods and see some of its iconic sights during this 1.5-mile (2.4-km) loop through downtown.

During chilly months, follow your guide through Chicago Pedway system, a network of tunnels, ground-level concourses and bridges that keep you comfortably warm. During warmer times of the year, walk along the Loop's scenic promenades.

Visit Millennium Park, a modern town square with a collection of art, architecture, and gardens that provide a stunning backdrop for hundreds of cultural events. Nearby, walk along the Chicago River, a system of waterways that links to the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico.

Along the way, taste quintessential Chicago foods like deep-dish pizza, sweets, and hot dogs. Tastings of locally brewed craft beer can be added for an extra charge.

Awesome guide, great stops and amazing food. I loved how our guide told us the history of each thing we ate. Telling us how it came about and why it’s become a piece of Chicago history. My favorite stop by far was for the Italian Beef. Bongiorno’s was fantastic. It was the best Italian beef I have ever had. I don’t generally like Italian beef but there are so so good. From the fresh baked rolls, tender meet and by far the best gravy it’s a party for your taste buds. A must stop if your in Chicago even if you don’t do the tour. But I would recommend the tour as well.

The Riverwalk and area of town was one of the nicer parts of Chicago. Love to hearing about the history. Especially the Palmer hotel, the origin of the different food that we ate, and the story of the Chicago flag. Our tour guide Julia was fantastic.

We were thinking of just finding a traditional deep dish pizza restaurant to eat at, but decided to do this instead. So glad we did. Not only did we eat deep dish, but other great staples of Chicago. In addition, we were given a great history of food, as well as, some key landmarks. We had a great group of people in our group and Nate did a great job.

Hannah was great! She was personable and knowledgeable. I have been to Chicago before and often do walking tours. My husband has not been to the city before and loved this tour. The hot beef sandwich was my favorite. My family enjoyed walking around the city and meeting new people. All of the restaurants were accessible and prepared for my infant son in a stroller. Overall, it was a great experience! I would recommend, especially, if you haven't been to Chicago before.

Awesome, one of the main reasons visiting, for the iconic food. The exercise was great, nice hike, guessing that's local culture or something. Though DO NOT leave visitors where they have know idea where they are (the tour didn't end where it started). Of course we found our way bk but for some they may feel uncomfortable surrounded by strangers in a strange land. Also give an base location for parking not everyone is from the big city. Overall the guide was a magnificent and very knowledgeable host. Keep up the good work.

Great combination of food and also the highlights of downtown Chicago. The Bean, millennial, park, and the Palmer hotel were personal highlights. I would maybe suggest going and getting a deep dish on your own, because you only get one slice, and it’s a veggie pizza. Even though it was rainy, and a bit cold, our tour guide, Julia made it fun with a sarcastic sense of humor and an upbeat personality.

If the tour guide James was not so lovely I would have left the tour half way through first stop ok second stop awfull third stop was full hot food put into brown bags to carry to next stop EMBARRASSING!! Have been on many Viator trips this was just terrible my next tour is booked for tomorrow in New Orleans so I am keeping my fingers crossed I hope I receive feedback from you as it certainly was not worth the money I wait in anticipation of your comments before I put anything on social media

I do a lot of food tours and we always look forward to trying them in new places. I would say this was just ok. You get 1 slice of pizza, a hot dog and an Italian beef sandwich. The sandwich was the best. You don’t get as much information as I would have liked. And there is no option or time to add a beer at any location. It was fine but nothing special .
