Great storytelling!

We were in town celebrating our anniversary and wanted to do something steeped in history, while also being fun- we hit the jackpot with Richardo and Hottest Hell tours. We enjoyed a 2 hour walking tour- bar stop included- where we traveled back in time and learned some spooky stories. Richardo brings the history, and stories to life! Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle!

Stories were dry and not scary. Had good experiences before on ghost tours in different parts of French Quarters.

Guide wasnt very nice or enthusiastic. It rained an we got soaked an didnt see everything. Werent offered any compensation for rain ruining tour. Tour only ran 1 hr 30 min. Poor first nola tour!!

Hi Duane, We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your tour. In New Orleans, we do occasionally get rain (actually, more annual rain than Seattle). Because of this, our tours go rain or shine. This is why you were not offered any "compensation". If we could control the weather, we would all be retired and living in the tropics. The tour material is 90 minutes worth of material. The remaining time is for the break. Hope you are able to find a tour that suits you better in the future!
Not an adults only tour

Nothing special or different about this tour to make it a “Adults Only” so I was very disappointed. No gory stories or any adult content. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of our stops, but it really sounded like she memorized a script and just kept going on and on. I’ve been on quite a few tours in different cities, and have been on ghost tours here in New Orleans and unfortunately I would not recommend this tour based off the guide.

Hi Desiree, We assure you, this is an adults only tour. Unless you found yourself on tour with teenagers and toddlers, it was adults only. We do not advertise "adults only" because of content (and never have)--we do it so that adults visiting the city do not have to worry about children being on tour with them. None of our guides use scripts but we do tell stories. Perhaps you wanted something a little more disjointed and non-linear?

The Real American Horror Story

In short, this was one of the highlights of our trip to New Orleans! Our guide, John, was really fantastic. As a fellow tour guide, I really, really appreciated that the tour lays out the facts vs. the legends and myths. It wasn't kitschy, or embellished. It was deeply historical, and yet still very disturbing and genuinely spooky at times. And I also loved that in many ways, the tour sought to set the record straight on a lot of misconceptions about various historical figures like Marie Laveau, voodoo, and the culture of New Orleans. I highly recommend this company. Thanks for the great walkabout, John!

Had an amazing tour guide, Doug, or as he likes to be called the guy in the kilt, made it so enjoyable will great stories. His clear love for his job only made the experience a near perfect experience. The only issue isn’t even at the fault of the tour but of our own. Because we had done so many walking tours and events that day. I bring this up because our feet were killing us but we had no problem doing this walking tour because we were so invested in the stories. 10/10 recommendations to everyone even if you’re not into the paranormal because it’s so much more then that.

Our tour began at the L Armstrong Arch. The tour company guides were easy to find, friendly and efficient. Our guide was Doug (the dude in the kilt). He was funny, very knowledgeable and is a talented storyteller. He covered all of the topics we were curious to hear about (Nicholas cage house, Marie Lavoe, oldest house, count of st germaine and local historical facts and fiction. Overall it was a great experience. Some advice, wear closed comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle.
