Head to Toulouse Street in the French Quarter to board the beautiful riverboat. When you step on board, you'll also step back in time as calliope music fills the air and the captain’s voice pours through an antique megaphone.
Your VIP experience begins with a personal reception. Ship staff will greet you with a complimentary Champagne cocktail. Pose for a photo op to capture the moment; you’ll take home a print to mark the special occasion. Then, follow your host (who may even be the captain) on an insider tour of the vessel to see all the workings of the ship including the engine room and the enormous paddlewheel.
Afterward, you’ll be escorted to your reserved seat, where you’ll get unobstructed views of the striking New Orleans shoreline at dusk, and a performance by the Grammy‐nominated jazz group Dukes of Dixieland. Wet your palate with fresh shrimp cocktail and a glass of wine. As for dinner, it includes anything from Bayou seafood pasta to chicken and sausage gumbo. Top it off with signature bread pudding accompanied by coffee and tea.

From getting on the boat early, the personal service during the entire cruise, the private table, the music, the tour with the captain, worth every penny.

We opted for the VIP experience since it was our anniversary and could not be happier with the experience. Gina was fun, attentive and made sure we had an incredible cruise. The captain tour was a blast! Highly recommend for any special occasion!

First the communication leading up to our VIP jazz/dinner cruise was great. In addition to the info we received from the tour operator, we got a personal text the evening before and the day of from Lyle(our host) leaving any guesswork of the details taken care of. Lyle made sure we were taken care. Cocktails and appetizers delivered, answered any questions Took care of use when the buffet dinner was ready. Super attentive overall. The Captain provided the tour of the boat and gave a lot of detail of its former life as a gambling boat. Unfortunately, and as disclosed, we were on The New Orleans, a diesel operated paddle boat, not the Natchez, a steam boat that is dry docked for repairs so we did not get to see the engine room. The jazz band was very good, playing lots of the standards. The food was also good for a large catered environment.

Being part of a VIP group, hosted by Lyle who did an amazing job, was a fabulous evening from being met and escorted onto the paddle boat to the entertainment, food and drink, and of course the private tour of the boat. This experience was truly unbelievable. We got the VIP package with open bar, which did not disappoint the staff and concierge that worked with us while on board was second to none I cannot put into words how amazing this trip was the band was amazing. Truly a fantastic night And our personal waitress who I can’t remember her name she said she’s been working there three or four weeks was the best ! Definitely will do it again .

A great way to spend a chilled out evening.
Wonderful band, and great food.
Only fly in the ointment was the delay we had boarding. There were 4 VIP parties booked for the evening. Unfortunately 1 party was very late arriving. This meant we, and the other 2 parties were delayed with our boarding while we waited.
We should have been allowed to board at the allocated time for the VIP parties.

We certainly understand. Everyone is asked to arrive at a specific time. Your host might not realize that they can ask the Marine Crew to watch for them as that person guides you to your seats. We will make sure those special hosts are aware.

Steamboat Natchez was well worth the experience! From start to finish, I had a memorable time. The particular standout for me was Gina, our guide. She was such a warm, welcoming soul.
