Great experience, history about the battles was amazing great to hear all of the facts about the ownership of New Orleans, coming back listening to the sorrowing story about Hurricane Katana. Great experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

It was a very interesting trip. Charles, the narrator, was genuine and was an amazing storyteller. I definitely recommend this trip if you want to learn just a little bit of the rich history of New Orleans and the deep lasting change of hurricane Katrina.

Loved the time on the boat and appreciating the mighty Mississippi River. Opening more bars or having alcohol and non alcohol drinks bars will reduce tome spent in lines. Then more time spent enjoying the river.

We had a great time on the river cruise with a really great guide called Charles. We had booked this trip for the afternoon but happened to be in the area a short while before the morning cruise set sail so we asked if it was possible to amend at the booking office - they had room for us an changing was not an issue. Would thoroughly recommend both the excursion and Viator.

Charles entertained us with a great, entertaining story of the battle of New Orleans. Even though we were surrounded by modern trappings, one felt right in the thick of things. On the return trip, he painted the story of the city and the horrific events of Hurricane Katrina. Evidence of loss from the storm is still evident. All in all it was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon and learn about the city.

The Creole Queen is a lovely, well-tended boat. We enjoyed the tour of the Mississippi and learning about the Battle of New Orleans from a knowledgeable guide. Charles, the narrator on the boat, is a terrific storyteller, and we appreciated learning about Hurricane Katrina from a local perspective. Charles also gave us a recommendation for vegan poboys at Killer Poboys — the only ones in town — and we ended up eating there twice because they were so amazing! We highly recommend this tour if you love a river cruise and learning the history of an area.

History part of Katrina was great!Would like to have some sailing music also instead of talking entire boat ride. Notification the buffet was being served and to include drinks. We were on top deck, food underneath with no knowledge!

If you favor history, good food and relaxation, I highly recommend this cruise. The lunch buffet was very appetizing, particularly, the seafood pasta and bread pudding. The narrator, Charles, did s superb job presenting the history of New Orleans focusing on the French, Spanish and somewhat British influences. His reporting of Hurricane Katrina’s impact was a somber but necessary accounting of the devastation experienced by the city along with the military and humanitarian responses. This cruise will undoubtedly leave you feeling connected to New Orleans.

The trip was very nice and comfortable, but the best part was the narration by Charlie-by far. I liked the visit to Chalmette battlefield...and would have liked to spend more time and visit the cemetery. All in all, a wonderful experience.
