What To Expect

Begin with pickup at your hotel in Las Vegas, travel to the heliport to meet the pilot, and board an air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. Settle into a comfortable seat with personal headphones—if desired, you may listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon throughout the flight—then lift off for the flight across the desert. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, fly above Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead, then see the Hoover Dam from the air, with perfect aerial views of the recent bypass bridge.

Catch your first glimpse of the Grand Canyon, then dive below the high desert to touch down on a private bluff 3,500 feet (1,067 meters) below the rim, and just 300 feet (90 meters) above the Colorado River.

In the shade of a traditional Ramada shelter, enjoy a Champagne toast and light snacks, chat with the helicopter pilot, or simply enjoy the scenery in an exclusive, uncrowded location. After your time at the bluff, board the helicopter for the flight back to Las Vegas, passing over the Strip on your way to the heliport, where you meet a driver for return transfer to your hotel.

Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older are required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

  • Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
  • The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
  • There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.

  • Due to uneven terrain at the Grand Canyon, wheelchairs are not able to be accommodated.

Worth every penny! My partner and myself really enjoyed this experience. Amazing scenery of the surroundings of Las Vegas and off course the mazing natural phenomenon of the canyon itself. Our Pilot and guide Ryan was wonderful and was both knowledgeable and friendly.

The helicopter trip was a truly memorable experience. We were placed in the very capable hands of our pilot Jesse and were soon seeing fantastic views of the Hoover Dam before descending into the grand canyon itself to follow the route of the Colorado River. We landed for a great photo opportunity in the canyon itself and took time to sip a glass of champagne and soak up this natural wonder. Views heading back over the strip were also memorable. A "considered purchase" certainly but worth every penny.

Had a great time! The pilot was awesome with our 4 year old granddaughter! He let her sit beside him and talked to her the entire trip. This was the first time all of us had been to the Grand Canyon and I’m glad we flew in a helicopter to experience it! Great job staff, it was an amazing flight!

A unique and complex way to see the beauty of the Grand Canyon, there is no chance to get the same views just by driving. The whole tour was very well organised, starting with the confirmation, the pick-up, and everything else along the way. The helicopter ride is definitely an experience worth trying, but the best part was the spectacular views you get from being airborne. Also the pilot is very helpful in explaining the surroundings and answering any questions

I reserved this tour for my wife and me paying over $1,100.00. We were very excited as it seemed to be an extraordinary experience, therefore we decided to invest that amount of money in a once of a lifetime experience. By mistake, I booked the date the previous week of my travel and didn't find out until the same day. I tried everything to have it changed to the correct day but I was completely declined by Vioator and Maverick and ended up losing the complete amount without getting anything back.

Maverick is both well-organized and professional. We had an amazing, memorable experience flying over the Las Vegas strip, past Mead Lake, the Hoover Dam, and into the Grand Canyon. Landing and getting to enjoy it over the Colorado River was breathtaking. Our pilot made us feel extraordinarily safe and was very informative on many facts in the region. A wonderful and worthwhile trip!

The whole experience was fantastic. It was so easy booking the trip. Every question I asked was answered in a timely manner. They sent me updates and reminders. The shuttle drivers were very friendly. Our pilot, Peter, was the best. He kept us informed of what everything was during our flight. The canyon was amazing. I would recommend this trip to everyone. This is the best way to see everything. Strip, Dam, and Canyon all in less than 3 hours. Unbeatable views and Tyler is an excellent pilot. (You can’t really do Vegas unless you do it this way). You will be glad you spent the $.
